Monster no Goshujin-sama

When one thousand Japanese high school students are abruptly torn from their everyday lives and cast into an unknown world teeming with deadly monsters, survival becomes a constant struggle. Hope rests on the few among them who awaken to inexplicable powers—abilities that offer protection in a land where danger waits around every corner. Majima Takahiro, an ordinary second-year student, is not among the fortunate. Receiving nothing from the phenomenon that transported them, he resigns himself to life among the powerless majority, devoting his days to building the settlement that keeps his classmates alive. But this fragile order collapses when the empowered students rise in revolt. Cast out and left for dead, Takahiro wanders the hostile forest alone, his strength failing and his faith in humanity completely shattered. Just as death draws near, salvation arrives from the most unlikely of sources.
