Chasing The Sun

Stepping out of her sheltered life in the countryside, high school student Xiao Xiang An arrives in the bustling metropolis to stay with distant relatives. Overwhelmed by the city's glittering neon skyline and unfamiliar rhythms, she finds herself an outsider in her own temporary home. When her relatives' friends propose a reckless night out, she is reluctantly swept into their scheme, donning a disguise to infiltrate an exclusive bar. Amidst the shadowy pulse of the crowd and the clink of glasses, she has a fleeting, electric encounter with a strikingly handsome employee—a moment of dizzying charm that leaves a lasting impression. The very next day, having shed her masquerade for her ordinary school uniform, she stumbles upon the same young man again. Yet, the warmth of the previous night has vanished without a trace. Gone is the charming employee; in his place stands a frosty stranger whose eyes hold nothing but contempt. His words are sharp and his demeanor dismissive, creating a jarring clash with the memory of the man who had once looked at her so kindly. Caught between two completely different versions of the same person, Xiao Xiang An is left bewildered and disheartened, forced to question whether her brief taste of city magic was a lie all along.
