Hibari no Asa

Teshima Hibari is a fourteen-year-old girl whose physical development is markedly more mature and sensual than that of most girls her age. Her narrative follows not only her own choices and experiences but also the varied opinions and reactions she provokes from everyone around her. The story closely examines the inner thoughts and emotions of classmates and adults alike—both men and women. Male characters frequently harbor romantic or sexual feelings toward Hibari, while female characters often contend with feelings of inadequacy or jealousy. Regardless of whether these responses are positive or negative, it appears that nearly everyone who encounters Hibari has a pronounced reaction to her presence.
