Tawawa on Monday

For a young office worker trapped in the grind of corporate life, each day blends into the next: endless overtime, a paycheck that barely reflects his effort, and mornings spent wedged into packed commuter trains. Exhaustion has become his default state, and the weeks stretch on as an unbroken cycle of tedium with nothing to break the monotony. That changes one Monday morning when he crosses paths with Ai, a bright and cheerful high school student on her way to class. Though she now radiates warmth and confidence, Ai once battled a deep lack of self-esteem. Somewhere along their shared commute, these two strangers found an unexpected connection, and their routine meeting quietly became the highlight of both their weeks. Now, every Monday, each of them looks forward to those fleeting moments together—even if their journeys overlap for only a handful of train stops. It isn't much, just a brief respite in two otherwise ordinary lives, but it is enough to give them both something to smile about as a new week begins.
