Persona 5

Following his arrest and subsequent transfer to a new high school in Tokyo, Akira Kurusu is placed on a path of rehabilitation—only to awaken to an extraordinary ability: the power of Persona, a manifestation of one's true self. Wielding this power alongside a mysterious navigation app known as Mementos, Akira and his companions assume the guise of phantom thieves, striving to free others from the corrupt desires that imprison them. Akira had believed he was acting rightly when he intervened to save a woman from assault. Yet that single act cost him his place at school and forced him away from home, landing him on probation at Shujin Academy. On his very first day, trouble resurfaces when he encounters the unruly Ryuji Sakamoto. The two inadvertently find themselves transported to a castle existing within an alternate reality. Apprehended by its ruler—who is none other than their own teacher, Kamoshida—Akira is pushed to his limit. In that desperate moment, he discovers a fierce will to rebel, and his Persona awakens at last.
