Wiseman

Matoba is a Japanese reporter whose life takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Arizona on a singular mission: locating a poet named Saeko who has mysteriously vanished. What begins as a straightforward search leads him deep into the vast, unforgiving expanse of the Arizona desert—a remote and haunting landscape that soon proves to be the stage for something far stranger than any investigation he has ever undertaken. In the midst of this barren wilderness, Matoba crosses paths with an enigmatic man known as Godo. From that fateful moment onward, his world is upended by a relentless cascade of supernatural phenomena. A man of reason, Matoba desperately attempts to rationalize each inexplicable event through science, yet every logical explanation crumbles in the face of forces beyond his understanding. As the mysteries deepen, Matoba arrives at a startling revelation: he himself is on the path to becoming a "Wiseman." This discovery draws him ever closer to the truth behind Godo and Saeko, and to the hidden objective the two share—one whose fulfillment carries the power to reshape the entire world.
