Nana-genme wa Ninja Shugyou desu!

Shino Hattori, a sheltered girl from Iga City, has never managed to fit in at school. Convinced that making friends is a pointless waste of time, she keeps her classmates at arm's length and passes her days in quiet solitude—a striking contrast to her hometown's long-standing legacy of ninja legend. Her withdrawn routine is suddenly upended, however, when she discovers an odd, coded note tucked inside her desk: "Meet me behind the gym after class." Despite her better judgment, curiosity wins out, and Shino decides to see who could possibly be waiting. Behind the gym she finds Kanna Ueno, an earnest girl with a single burning dream: to become a true ninja. Kanna wastes no time declaring that the two of them must begin "ninja training" together—an activity that amounts to little more than ninja make-believe. Shino turns her down flat, but Kanna refuses to accept no for an answer. Armed with a rather dubious grasp of "ninjutsu," Kanna sweeps her reluctant new companion into one escapade after another, dragging Shino's peaceful, solitary existence headlong into a whirlwind of trouble she never bargained for…!?
