Strange Frog Princess

Ochiko's life has been a relentless cycle of torment. As the target of her classmates' cruelty, her days are marked by isolation and despair. That is, until the day the school's feared delinquent, Ikeno, steps in and puts a stop to her bullies. For the first time, Ochiko sees a glimmer of hope in her dark world. She begins to believe in a fairy tale: that Ikeno is her prince, a prophesied figure who will not only save her but also decimate all those who have wronged her. This naive fantasy becomes her sole comfort, a fragile shield against the brutality of her reality. But fairy tales can turn into nightmares. A sudden, violent incident shatters Ochiko's delusion, dragging her from the safety of her fantasy and plunging her into an even more terrifying abyss. With her "prince" revealed to be a mere mortal and her last shred of hope extinguished, Ochiko is forced to confront a world far more grotesque than she could have ever imagined. This volume is the first published collection from manga creator Kanda Mori and features six compelling stories, headlined by the dark and twisted title work, "Strange Frog Princess." Readers should be advised that this collection is not for the faint of heart, containing scenes of extreme and bizarre violence. Mature themes are further explored, including a chapter that deals with incestuous subject matter.
