The Story of Thorny Spear

Deep within Baek Mountain, Sangun, the tiger lord, has long savored a life of undisturbed tranquility, ruling over his domain far removed from the troubles of the world. That hard-won peace comes to an abrupt end the day a young girl with striking white hair appears at the mouth of his cave—none other than Choa, who boldly declares herself to be his bride. Her arrival would be startling enough on its own, but Sangun quickly senses something far more unsettling: Choa carries the blood of the White-blooded Demon Beast, a dreaded creature whose very name inspires fear in every spirit and beast alike. Knowing the calamity her lineage could bring down upon his mountain, Sangun resolves to send the girl away before disaster can strike. Yet his resolve falters the moment he learns that Choa has nowhere else in the world to go. Unable to turn his back on her, the reluctant tiger lord takes her in—and with that single act, an era of calm gives way to a seemingly endless stretch of hardships he never saw coming.
