The Heavenly Demon Doesn't Want to Level Up

A once-revered martial arts hero of the Goryeo Dynasty, Prince Jin Yuseong has tasted both glory and devastating loss. Haunted by the memory of his fallen comrades, he finds his existence in the royal court hollow and unbearable. In a desperate bid to escape his crushing loneliness and seek a new purpose, he steps through a mystical palace gate, leaving his era behind for an uncertain future. He emerges into the chaotic, modern metropolis of Seoul, a world of steel and neon wholly alien to a man of his time. His skills, however, are immediately put to the test when he intervenes in a violent gate break, thwarting a monstrous threat with abilities that seem supernatural to the modern eye. This heroic act brings him to the attention of the Safe Gate organization, a powerful agency dedicated to protecting civilians from the very dimensional rifts he just helped to close. Eager to evade their recruitment and protect his true identity, Yuseong concocts a desperate ruse, disguising himself as a high school student and claiming to be the nephew of a long-lost comrade. Yet, as he struggles to navigate the halls of a contemporary academy, he must constantly question if a fabricated identity can truly shield him from the martial past that refuses to stay buried, or if the life of a warrior will forever follow him through time.
