Lilith's Cord

According to the belief most people hold, all of humanity descends from Adam and Eve. Yet a small number of individuals exist outside that lineage — people who trace their blood not to Eve, but to Lilith, the forgotten first Eve, absent from the history everyone thinks they know. Endowed with unmatched power and driven by appetites unlike anything found in ordinary mankind, the descendants of Lilith prosper by draining the life force from humans. To them, humanity is little more than a hunting ground, and they have long thrived in the shadows, feeding on the unsuspecting. But among all the humans who have fallen victim to them, there exists one who stands apart — a single mortal unlike any other, one who simply cannot be conquered. In a world where hidden predators walk freely among their prey, that lone, unbreakable exception may be enough to turn the hunt on its head.
