The Graymark

On the planet Graymark, justice is paid for in blood. Under its merciless law, every sinner is condemned to die, and no one has carried out that sentence with more skill—or more infamy—than the executioner known simply as Great. For years he has carved his legend into the land, sending thousands of criminals to their ends without hesitation or remorse, until his very name became synonymous with death itself. But the world shifts beneath his blade when the law that defined him is abolished. The man who once held power over thousands of lives now finds his own fate in question, summoned to answer for his deeds before Lohumlagaha, the King of the Cosmos. The executioner has become the accused. Stripped of his purpose and enraged by a destiny he never chose, Great refuses to bow to judgment.
