Sango to Ningyo

Draped in the burden of an unusual curse, young Sango navigates a world rife with deception through the power of the Satori's eyes. This rare gift, however, proves to be a double-edged sword; every falsehood uttered in his presence manifests as a sharp, unmistakable sensation of physical pain. Forced to endure the agonizing weight of others' dishonesty, Sango lives a solitary existence, wary of the spoken word and the hidden intentions it often conceals. His path eventually crosses with that of a being wholly alien to his own—an immortal siren whose timeless existence is defined by an act of profound devotion. Unlike the fleeting, self-serving mortals around her, this siren lives by a singular, self-destructive creed: she offers her own living flesh to the man she loves, a gift that is at once tender and monstrous. Her world is one of eternal sacrifice and cyclical renewal, where love is measured in wounds and the giving of oneself. When these two lonely souls converge, Sango's curse becomes both a barrier and a bridge. His ability to perceive truth in its rawest, most painful form compels him to confront the genuine depth of the siren's feelings, stripping away the veil of myth and terror that surrounds her. It is a story of two outcasts—one bound by the agony of knowing, the other by the agony of giving—and the delicate, haunting bond that forms between a boy who cannot stand lies and a woman whose love is her ultimate, unspoken truth.
