Liquor & Cigarettes

Two shops stand face to face on a small-town street: a liquor store run by Theo, and the cigarette shop across the way, run by Camilo, his best friend since childhood. There's a certain irony to Theo's profession—he's a hopeless lightweight who can barely handle a single drink. Lately, Camilo has given up hiding how he feels, making his attraction to Theo impossible to ignore. Theo, however, has never considered dating a man, and he has no idea how to respond to his friend's advances. Unwilling to shut Camilo down entirely, he agrees to a trial relationship—an open-ended arrangement meant to help him sort out his own heart. But with a little liquid courage loosening their inhibitions, the casual experiment quickly turns heated, and Theo finds himself discovering a whole new side of the friend he's known all his life. As familiarity gives way to something far more intoxicating, Theo is left grappling with a question he can't easily answer: will these newfound experiences finally bring clarity to his feelings, or only leave him more tangled in confusion than ever before?
