Life under her family's roof has become an unrelenting ordeal for a teenage girl whose days are ruled by the chaos of her alcoholic father. While her mother's attention seems perpetually fixed on her younger brother, she finds herself overlooked and burdened by a household teetering on the edge of collapse. Forced to shoulder the weight of adult responsibilities long before her time, she has grown hardened and weary—a maturity that sharply sets her apart from the carefree classmates around her. Yet amid the isolation and daily strife, an unexpected flicker of warmth emerges in the form of a boy known as one of the school's troublemakers. Beneath his rough exterior, he has shown surprising kindness toward her younger brother, a rare gesture that catches her attention and stirs an inexplicable sense of connection. When her father shatters another promise—this time for a family outing—due to his debilitating hangover, the delinquent steps in and takes both siblings to the zoo. In that simple, unexpected escape, she glimpses a tenderness that feels both foreign and deeply needed, opening a fragile door to hope in the midst of her broken reality.
