Animal Signal

In a world where humanity has awakened to a mysterious phenomenon known as Anima—supernatural abilities derived from the animal kingdom—society struggles to maintain order. To counter the escalating threat of crimes committed using these volatile powers, the Anima Control Center was established as humanity's first line of defense. Among its ranks is Kokone, a sharp and tenacious investigator gifted with the rare ability to read the thoughts of anyone around her. On the surface, she is the ideal agent for the job, effortlessly peeling back the secrets of suspects and witnesses alike. Yet beneath her professional exterior lies a puzzling fixation: an almost compulsive urge to decipher the mind of her own partner, the stoic and unreadable Tsubasa. As the pair navigates one absurd, animal-powered incident after another, Kokone's relentless attempts to breach Tsubasa's psyche inject a wild, comedic tension into their partnership. What drives her obsession with a man who remains an eternal enigma, and what exactly does she hope to find lurking in his thoughts? Their dynamic balances sharp workplace rivalry with strange, undeniable chemistry, turning every investigation into a chaotic battle of wits and wills. From the acclaimed creators behind *'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess* and *We Never Learn* comes a refreshingly offbeat comedy where the biggest mystery isn't the crime at hand—it's the silent partner standing right beside her.
