Kotone and Taiji share a history defined by silence. A decade ago, while still children, they had a falling out so complete that it severed every tie between them—and in the ten years since, not a single word has passed between the two. What began as an ordinary childhood bond has hardened into a vast, wordless distance that neither has dared to close. Ten years is long enough for children to grow into adults, for old hurts to fade—or to calcify. For Kotone and Taiji, the silence has only deepened with time, taking on a weight of its own. Each passing year makes the prospect of speaking again more daunting: the longer they go without words, the more heavily the question of how—or whether—to reconnect looms over them both. It is a quiet, emotionally charged portrait of estrangement: two people bound by a shared past yet divided by an unresolved wound, carrying the words they never said. The story dwells in that fragile standoff, exploring the pride and pain that keep former friends apart—and the lingering possibility that even a silence ten years long might, someday, finally break.
