Convenient Semi-Friend

Leaving behind the suffocating familiarity of home, the perpetually gloomy high school student Suuna arrives at her new dormitory, hoping for a fresh start. Her nerves, already frayed by the prospect of sharing a room with a complete stranger, are sent into a tailspin the moment she steps through the door. Instead of a polite greeting, she is met with the startling sight of her new roommate, Ruka, in a compromising position with another girl. The awkwardness of the moment is overwhelming, but it quickly gives way to a startling revelation. Desperate for a solution that will allow them to coexist, Ruka confesses her need for a "friend with benefits" to maintain her lifestyle. Instead of being repulsed, Suuna sees an unexpected opportunity. To salvage what could be an impossible living situation, she boldly takes the initiative. She proposes a carefully defined arrangement to her roommate: a "(semi) friends with benefits" contract. With this unconventional proposal on the table, the two girls find themselves bound by a set of rules that blur the lines between acquaintance, friend, and something more. As they navigate the strange and often embarrassing terms of their agreement, their bizarre contract forces them to explore the very nature of intimacy and connection, all within the confined space of their new shared life.
