Those who breathe their final breath while cursing the world are reborn as demons. Defending the nation against these fiends are the Children’s Choir—youth blessed with divine favor from the angels. The hymns sung by these pure-hearted, innocent children are exceptionally beautiful, and their perfectly tuned harmonies possess the power to slay demons on the spot. For that reason, the demons constantly stalk the darkness, seeking any opportunity to strike down these young singers once night falls. Yet among them is one pitiful little boy who simply cannot seem to hit the right note.
