The slacker professor at Hogwarts

Albus Dumbledore was well aware that Gilderoy Lockhart was a fraud. Rohar knew it too, primarily because he had transmigrated into Lockhart’s body. The complication arose from their differing motives: Dumbledore intended to hire Lockhart as a cautionary tale, while Rohar, incapable of casting even the simplest spells, desired nothing more than to relax and enjoy the vast fortune left by the original owner. Yet, Rohar ultimately accepted the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. Was the magical castle and its overflowing vaults not enticing enough? Did the steady royalties from a dozen bestselling books fail to satisfy him? Were the threats posed by an obsessed Severus Snape and Voldemort not sufficiently terrifying? None of these were the reason. Rohar was simply forced into the role by Dumbledore. Consequently, he devised a plan to survive the academic year, counting down the days until he would finally be free.
