An Elf, a Motorcycle, and an Imperial Geographic Surveyor and

In a world irrevocably transformed by catastrophe, where monsters and demons now roam the once-peaceful provincial roads, the Imperial Geographic Institute shoulders the perilous task of charting the unknown. Nonoa, an elf with a keen eye and steady hands, serves as a surveyor’s assistant alongside her taciturn partner, Kago. Together, they ride their rugged motorcycle across the fractured landscape—through haunted forests, crumbling villages, and wind-scoured passes—meticulously recording every shift in terrain, every collapsed bridge, every new lair of beasts. Their work is not merely academic; it is the fragile lifeline that connects isolated settlements to the empire’s dwindling grasp on order. Yet the road offers no respite. Between dust-choked miles and skirmishes with feral creatures, the pair find rare solace in the simple rituals of survival. During a stop at a hidden spring, while Nonoa bathes and lets the tension wash from her weary limbs, the still air stirs. A figure emerges from the shadows—neither beast nor fellow surveyor, but something that does not belong to this broken world. The encounter shatters the quiet routine, forcing Nonoa to confront questions that no map can answer. In a land where every route is uncertain and every horizon hides new terror, the most dangerous discoveries are never the ones drawn on parchment.
