Burial Furnace

For untold ages, immortals grasped at the creation of heaven and earth, refining the origin of all things in a reckless pursuit of eternal life—until their ambition shattered the Great Dao and sent the heavens toppling down. Enraged, the Will of Heaven seized every planet in the universe and hammered them into the walls of a furnace; melted every star into its flames; and fused countless black holes into its mouth. Thus was forged the Burial Furnace of Immortals. With a single burning, every celestial immortal perished, the origin returned to chaos, and the universe was reborn. In this new era, the path of immortality rises once more. Among mortals lives an old man, his life weighed down by frustration and resentment, who one day accidentally refines a rusty, broken furnace. From that moment on—one man, one sword, he sets foot upon the road to immortality; one furnace, one fire, he buries the immortals all over again. The Celestial Emperor? Within the furnace flames, he is nothing more than a handful of ash. A saint? The fire makes no distinction.
