In a world transformed by human evolution, electricity has become the very foundation of civilization. Extraordinary electrical powers now dictate every person's place in society, while those born without such abilities are cast aside and left to scrape by on the margins of a world that no longer needs them. Enlil is one of these unfortunate few—a young man with no trace of electrical ability, condemned to a life of poverty and endless struggle. Yet even as hardship bears down on him from every direction, he refuses to abandon the dream he has carried since childhood: to become a hero. When an opportunity to apply to the EPD (Electrical Police Department) finally presents itself, it seems fate has at last opened a door for him. Instead, Enlil uncovers a chilling truth—the department is purging humans deemed too weak to be of any use. Standing against the very hero he once idolized as a child, he makes a defiant stand, only to be struck down. But for Enlil, death is not the end of his story.
