The First Supreme Being of the Shrouding Heavens

At the twilight of the Chaotic Ancient Era, Cao Yusheng emerges from his tomb to find the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths transformed into an unfamiliar world. With traditional Immortal Ancient methods ill-suited to the current environment and the Body as Seed path proving too perilous, he establishes the God-Demon Academy to disseminate the cultivation system of the Desolate Heavenly Emperor. Yuan Chan arrives through a rift in spacetime and spends four thousand years in silent cultivation, eventually ascending to become a Supreme Being. However, he gradually realizes that the reputed First Supreme Being, Cao Yusheng, appears surprisingly underwhelming. The Desolate Tower, acting as Cao’s guardian artifact, urges him forward: "As the close friend of the Heavenly Emperor, it is your duty to purge the universe of chaos. You must bring an end to the Chaotic Ancient Era, usher in a new age, and ultimately achieve immortality within the mortal dust." Sighing at the weight of such destiny, Cao Yusheng questions his own capability: "Can someone like me truly conclude an era and inaugurate a new one?" Left speechless by this lack of ambition, Yuan Chan can only marvel at how the mythological number one Heavenly Venerable possesses so little drive.
