Under the Air

A compilation of one-shot works by Osamu Tezuka, written and illustrated between 1968 and 1973, this volume is held in high esteem both in Japan and by the author himself. Spanning genres from science fiction and military drama to Westerns, the collection explores themes of hopelessness, discrimination, and the supernatural. Featuring a diverse array of tales—including "Joe's Visitor," "The Cliff of Death," "The Duel at Grand Mesa," and "Lovers Under the Air," among others—the book also includes, in some editions, "The Execution Ended at 3" and "Miraculous Conception," which additionally appear in Tezuka's Clockwork Apple. This is of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works.
