The Alluring Tale of Mong-ryong

Mong-ryong, a brilliant and strikingly handsome secret royal inspector of the Joseon dynasty, embarks on his inaugural mission with unwavering confidence. His assignment leads him to Namwon, a region under the tyrannical rule of Governor Byeon Hakdo, a man infamous for his depravity. While attempting to uncover corruption, Mong-ryong faces a perilous predicament when he is threatened with being forced into the governor’s service. In a moment of desperation, he spots I-bang, a robust local official, and impulsively seizes upon him as an escape route.
