The Black Steed

A brutal coup has thrown Arenbar, the realm of the Golden Tree, into chaos. Evon Lake, once a knight in royal service and now the leader of a rebellion, stands on the gallows, ready to give his life to the gods as atonement. Yet at the very moment death closes in, a stranger severs the noose—and the man is none other than Marsagar Sagalund, the long-lost prince whom Evon himself had banished to the wasteland. Pulled back from the grave by the one he betrayed, Evon now faces a fate far graver than the execution that awaited him.
