What begins as an absurdly specific test of devotion quickly spirals into an all-out war of affection for best friends and romantic rivals, Aimi and Nami. Their object of obsession? The oblivious and utterly ordinary Kirio, a boy whose only notable—and remarkably audible—trait is the thunderous flatulence that betrays his presence from across the schoolyard. Rather than being repulsed, the two girls view each resonant toot as a divine signal, a unique identifier that allows them to track their beloved from afar and proves the depth of their singular dedication. Their love, however, is far from superficial. By night, they conduct solemn rituals, hoping to summon the object of their desires into their dreams. By day, they meticulously dissect his every attribute, compiling exhaustive lists that catalog their appreciation for him down to the very last internal organ. Through it all, a philosophical contest rages between them: who can endure the most, sacrifice the most, and ultimately, love him the most, all while he remains blissfully unaware of their existence. But as their competitive fervor escalates, it threatens to unravel the very bond that gives their rivalry its meaning. When their quest for Kirio's attention reaches its peak, the pair is forced to confront a terrifying possibility: is their hilarious, all-consuming friendship strong enough to survive a war fought in the name of love? This riotous romantic comedy explores the gloriously ridiculous lengths we go to for a crush, and the unexpected challenge of choosing between a friend and a fairy tale.
