Is This Hero for Real?

When a goddess summons Hansoo Kang and his classmates into a magical fantasy realm and names them heroes, the invitation appears to be a dream fulfilled. Yet Hansoo refuses to stake his life on a world that is not his own. For that defiance, the goddess abandons him in the forest, leaving him to die. Alone and betrayed, Hansoo comes to see that the goddess is not the benevolent figure she pretends to be. A solitary god offers him aid, and together they navigate the dangers of the unfamiliar world. Through this partnership, Hansoo acquires potent blessings that help him endure and grow stronger. His purpose, however, is not to rescue the realm. He wants to find a way back home—but only after he has taken revenge on the goddess who discarded him.
