Severance

A millennium has passed since Li Chen, a mere teenager, consumed a legendary elixir and ascended to immortality. Yet, eternity has proven to be a hollow gift. Cursed with endless life but severed from the warmth of humanity, he wanders a world that has long since forgotten him, haunted by the weight of a thousand years of solitude. His only solace, and his only obsession, lies in the one thing that can grant him release from his immortal burden: the very elixir that gave him his power, an artifact that has been lost to the ages. His path crosses with Ye Qing Yi, a man whose fragile health is matched only by his striking, uncanny resemblance to the ancient deity responsible for crafting the original elixir. For Ye Qing Yi, life is a daily struggle against his own failing body, a battle he is slowly losing. His only hope for survival is the same mythical cure that Li Chen desperately seeks to replicate. Bound by their shared need and a hauntingly familiar face, the two form a fragile and uneasy alliance. Each holds the key to the other's salvation, but in a world where trust is as fleeting as time, they must navigate a dangerous game of desire and deception. Will these two broken souls become the remedy for each other's wounds, or will their mutual desperation be the very poison that destroys them both?
