Eighteen months have passed since the brutal murder that shattered their world. Now, Kirito and Ryuji walk the hallways of their high school as ordinary students, their memories of that grim night buried deep beneath the routine of exams, club activities, and casual friendships. To everyone around them, they are just two teenagers finally moving forward—laughing, studying, and living with the careless ease of youth. But this fragile peace is merely a borrowed illusion, a quiet before a storm they cannot yet feel coming. Unbeknownst to them, the past has not been laid to rest. The shadows of that atrocity remain, and the forces that set their tragedy in motion have never stopped moving. While Kirito and Ryuji remain blissfully ignorant of the blood that stains their history, a clock they have forgotten to watch is ticking down to zero. Their escape from reality is about to shatter, and the vengeance that was thought to be concluded is far from finished. As forgotten truths claw their way back to the surface, the two must confront a harrowing question: when you cannot remember the crime, can you still see the punishment through to its end? The dormant embers of their revenge are about to ignite once more, dragging them back into a nightmare that never truly ended.
