The Prize of Youth

Yeong swept through middle school with an unbroken streak of victories, earning her the moniker "Contest God" among her peers. But high school greets her with an entirely new kind of challenge when a campus-wide competition offering a massive cash prize is suddenly announced. The prospect is tantalizing, yet there is a formidable catch: participation requires a team of exactly six, a number that forces Yeong far outside her comfort zone of solitary brilliance. The unwelcome puzzle pieces fall into place during a mandatory class project, which pairs Yeong and her loyal best friend Hana with four classmates who couldn't be more mismatched. As clashing personalities and conflicting work styles threaten to derail even the simplest tasks, Yeong is confronted with a humbling truth—raw talent means little without the ability to coordinate, communicate, and compromise. Just when the group begins to find its footing, the stakes are suddenly raised: the prize money doubles, transforming their reluctant partnership into a high-risk gamble worth taking. Driven by ambition and a shared hunger for the reward, the improbable team decides to enter the contest for real. What unfolds is a tempest of simmering rivalries, surprising moments of solidarity, and emotional revelations that none of them anticipated. As they hurtle toward the competition, Yeong and her unlikely allies must navigate the thin line between personal glory and collective trust, leaving them to wonder if their greatest achievement might not be winning at all, but discovering something far more valuable along the way.
