Ugly Girl Raises Troublemakers

In an unexpected twist, Song Zhi wakes up in the body of an overweight young woman who has formed bonds with several beastmen from a prestigious noble academy. In the original story, her character is scorned by her fiancés—the main male leads—and meets a brutal end. A system appears, designed to help her lose weight by earning the favor of those same men, and urges her to act. But Song Zhi refuses to cooperate, seeing no point in catering to men without any real benefit to herself. Much to everyone’s surprise, she sheds the weight quickly thanks to her surroundings, finishing her task ahead of schedule. Worried she might not survive long enough to formally break off their engagements, her fiancés assign her a group of bodyguards. Song Zhi takes in a handful of injured men, who turn out to be the story’s antagonists. As she nurses them back to health, they reveal gentler sides: the cold, cleanliness-obsessed king washes her underwear; the sickly, moody peacock curls up against her for warmth; and the sly fox wraps his tail around her leg to win her favor. When the male leads catch wind of this, jealousy takes hold—unaware that their own neglect set the whole chain of events in motion. The system watches with quiet amusement, pleased to see the antagonists softened and the male leads left in the dark.
