A Good Day to Die

In the one-shot "Ii Shi Tabidachi," a young girl reaches the end of her emotional endurance and makes the devastating decision to end her life. Standing at the edge of a rooftop, she chooses to leap into the void, leaving behind the world that has brought her to such profound despair. The story opens at this critical threshold, framing her final act not merely as an ending, but as the catalyst for a deeply personal journey through her own memories. As gravity pulls her downward, the brief moments of her fall stretch into a quiet, introspective space where time seems to stand still. Suspended between the roof she left behind and the ground rushing up to meet her, she begins to reflect on the entirety of her existence. Her thoughts drift back over the experiences, emotions, and defining moments that shaped her short life, painting a vivid portrait of who she was and what led her to this precipice. This fleeting descent becomes a poignant exploration of memory and meaning, transforming a tragic physical fall into a deeply moving internal reckoning with everything she is about to leave behind.
