The Door to Summer

Marion is a young student who prides himself on adhering to a philosophy he calls realism. Driven by a disdain for emotional displays, he deliberately ignores anything resembling affection. However, when he becomes entangled in a romantic affair with an older courtesan, his supposed rationalism is exposed as little more than a shield for his own emotional immaturity. Under the care of his older lover, Marion begins to blossom and learn the meaning of love, but he has yet to understand the true cost of their relationship.
