Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin

Arata Miyako is a newly appointed civil servant assigned to the Nighttime Regional Relations Division of the Shinjuku Ward Office. This specialized department, replicated across all twenty-three of Tokyo’s wards, was established specifically to investigate and resolve paranormal and occult incidents. Arata possesses the rare ability to comprehend the speech of non-human entities, a talent that sets him apart from his colleagues. During an encounter with a yōkai in Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, the supernatural being addresses him as Abe no Seimei, the name of a renowned historical Japanese occultist and diviner.
