Nigoru Hitomi de Nani wo Negau: Highserk Senki

One day, Takakura Yorizo, an ordinary office worker, passes away from a heart attack. He is granted a second chance at life—not in another world as a reincarnated hero blessed with extraordinary abilities, but as a common soldier of the Hyserk Empire, a minor nation squeezed between larger, more powerful neighbors. Reborn under the name Walm, he is thrust directly into the hell of the front lines. Alongside his companions, he claws his way through battle after battle, his body and soul steeped in the indelible blood and reek of death. In this world, adventurers wield potent magic, and summoned warriors known as "heroes" reduce everything to cinders with their overwhelming might. Amid these desperate struggles for survival, Walm's latent talent as a warrior—a gift that would have never surfaced in times of peace—slowly begins to awaken. His eyes, clouded with darkness, see only the brutal path ahead. Thus begins a unique and gritty chronicle of war.
