Nemu the Corpse Bearer

Being an adventurer means risking your life against deadly monsters for treasure and glory. But not every quest ends in triumph, and not every adventurer returns alive. That is where Nemu comes in. As a corpse bearer, her job is to retrieve the bodies of fallen fighters and slain support crews from the very dungeons that claimed their lives. It is a perilous occupation with a tarnished reputation, yet for Nemu, it is simply a way to earn a living. One day, while carrying out a routine retrieval, she crosses paths with Garensis—an injured explorer who takes an unusual interest in her. Suddenly, her normally solitary work becomes considerably more complicated. Convinced that sticking with Nemu is the key to finding his missing sister, Garensis insists on tagging along despite her obvious disinterest. What he does not realize, however, is that the role of a corpse bearer involves far more than merely collecting the dead… assuming Nemu is willing to show him.
