Kamisama Drop

Seventeen-year-old Nowaki Asunaro has been dogged by misfortune since the day he was born. Every move he makes seems to invite disaster, whether in the form of a bucket of water falling on his head or being unjustly accused of crimes he never committed. Despite his exceptional bad luck, he still holds onto one fervent hope: to grow closer to Hashihime Banri, the girl he loves. The only catch is that whenever he finally seems on the verge of reaching her, his ill fortune inevitably intervenes. During one particularly disaster-filled day, he takes shelter from the rain in a rundown, abandoned temple. Cold and hungry, he grows feverish, yet in his desperation, he prays to the gods to survive the day and to win Banri's friendship. To his astonishment, it appears his plea has unintentionally summoned a deity of some sort. Could this unforeseen encounter finally bring him the good luck he has always been denied?
