Pure Days

Pure Days is a short-story anthology that gathers twelve romantic comedies originally published in Comic Megastore between 2008 and 2011, along with several bonus chapters written exclusively for this collected edition. True to its title, the volume captures the innocent, awkward, and heart-fluttering moments that arise as young people fumble their way through love and attraction. The collection spans a wide variety of everyday settings and scenarios. Highlights include a one-day stint at a maid café that proves memorable enough to receive its own sequel, a bit of mischief with hypnotism that spirals further than intended, and a matched pair of stories in "Present For You" and "Present For Me" that follow a shy exchange of gifts between two people who cannot quite confess their feelings. Readers are also treated to a secluded getaway in "An Island Only for Us," alongside "Change★," "Small Complex," and "Rosy Life," each exploring themes of insecurity, self-discovery, and growing closer to someone special. Rounding out the volume is the two-part "Together With My Sisters," which centers on a young man living under the same roof as his older sisters, and the playful payback that ensues when Yuu launches his own counterattack. The anthology closes with the freshly written finale "Happy End Island," which returns to the couple from the island story and sends the collection off on a warm, cheerful note.
