Kusunoki’s Flunking Her High School Glow-Up

Keisuke Shizuki and Shizuka Kusunoki appear to have it all as they enter high school—turning heads with their striking looks and effortless charm. Yet beneath their polished surfaces lies a shared and embarrassing past: both were utter social pariahs throughout middle school, shunned and isolated by their peers. While Shizuki has undergone a complete transformation, reinventing his personality and appearance to erase every trace of his former loner self, Kusunoki finds that changing her outer image alone isn't enough to leave her old habits behind. Despite her new beautiful face, Kusunoki remains painfully awkward in social situations, stumbling over conversations and struggling to read the room. Desperate to truly belong, she turns to the one person who understands her predicament—Shizuki. She eagerly seeks his guidance on everything from casual small talk to navigating the complex hierarchies of high school cliques. However, their partnership hits a comedic roadblock: Shizuki, for all his newfound confidence, harbors an irrational phobia of pretty girls, making it nearly impossible for him to interact with Kusunoki without freezing up. As they fumble through their quest for popularity, the two former outcasts must learn to overcome their very different insecurities—or risk reliving the lonely days they swore to leave behind.
