Valkyria Chronicles

Set in the year 1930 in a fictionalized version of Europe, the story unfolds in the nation of Gallia. The country's abundant reserves of ragnite ore—a mineral that can be refined into powerful fuel—draw the attention of the East European Imperial Alliance, a power already locked in war with the Atlantic Federation. When the Empire invades Gallia, the narrative centers on a band of Gallian soldiers led by Welkin Gunther, son of the celebrated war hero General Belgen Gunther, as they fight to liberate their war-torn, once-neutral homeland and drive the Imperial forces from Gallian soil.
