Shutohel

The dawn of the thirteenth century finds the world trembling beneath the advance of the Mongol Empire, history's most formidable war machine. Rising from the embattled Tangut people is a warrior whose very name strikes fear into even these seemingly invincible riders: Shutohel, known to all as the Evil One. Yet she was never born a legend. Shutohel began as an ordinary Tangut soldier, gripped by the same dread of annihilation that haunted her people as the Mongol tide closed in. But death brushed against her again and again, and with each brush, something extraordinary stirred within her—a strength far beyond human limits. Forged through sheer survival, she became a force so devastating that even the mightiest army in history learned to fear her. On the other side of the battlefield stands Yurul, a young Mongol prince. Unlike the warriors surrounding him, he is captivated not by conquest but by the writings of the Tanguts—his people's sworn enemies. As war threatens to swallow everything in its path, his quiet fascination and his mounting unease about the future mark him as a soul shaped by the same storm, yet standing on the opposite side of it.
