Summary

Official Details
Based on the Touhou series of games and penned by the franchise's original creator, this manga spotlights a trio of fairies and the endless mischief they stir up in their corner of the world. The main characters from the games drift in and out of the fairies' schemes, lending the story familiar faces while keeping its most carefree residents firmly at the center of every escapade. The series' publication history is nearly as distinctive as its premise. Its first five chapters, released under the English subtitle Eastern and Little Nature Deity, were illustrated by Matsukura Nemu. When health concerns forced Nemu to step away from the project, the manga continued for another twenty-five chapters under the new title Strange and Bright Nature Deity, now drawn by Hirasaka Makoto. Spanning both artists' tenures, the series reads as one continuous, gently comedic portrait of the Touhou universe — a story in which playful fairies and a colorful supporting cast turn even the quietest days into charming trouble.
