Maya’s high school debut takes an unexpected turn when a simple navigational error steers her toward the Animation Club room instead of the art club she had been so eagerly seeking. Stepping through the door, she finds herself surrounded not by canvases and still lifes, but by storyboards, celluloid sheets, and the low hum of computers rendering frames—a world devoted to the painstaking craft of bringing moving images to life. Before she can excuse herself and retreat, a familiar voice stops her cold. There, amidst the clutter of production schedules and character sketches, stands Sugita—the very boy she once knew as "Big Brother Anime," the one who first placed a pencil in her small hand and showed her the magic of creating worlds on paper. In that moment, the past and present collide. The gentle mentor of her childhood memories is now a senior member of this tightly knit club, and his presence transforms what should have been a simple embarrassment into a profound twist of fate. As Maya grapples with the shock of their reunion, she must also confront the growing pull of a medium she had never considered pursuing. The Animation Club, with its collaborative chaos and technical demands, feels both foreign and strangely familiar—a mirror to the lessons Sugita once taught her. Now, caught between her original artistic ambitions and the stirring echoes of an old bond, Maya begins to question where her true creative path lies, and whether this serendipitous mistake might just be the start of a whole new story.
