Tengu to Kitsune, Chichi ni Naru

Kuromaikai, a tengu once renowned as a legendary ayakashi, has fallen on hard times. His shrine now lies in ruins, and even his servants have abandoned him. Blaming humanity for his decline, the proud spirit is determined to reclaim his former glory. To that end, he descends from his mountain and pays a visit to an old demon who has made a fortune living in the human world. The elder offers to lend him his strength—on a single condition: Kuromaikai must first pass a test. The trial, however, is nothing the legendary ayakashi could have anticipated. He is charged with raising a human baby, and not on his own—he must do so alongside Miyakineina, the fox demon who is his sworn nemesis. For a fallen tengu dreaming of lost grandeur, this unlikely partnership may prove his most daunting challenge yet.
