Kaiouki

In a world veiled by the haze of antiquity, the People of the Sea reign over the oceans without rival, shielded by their ever-watchful protectors—the legendary Shadow Ships. At the helm of one such vessel stands the unlikeliest of captains: Pan Gamma Vizen, who leads a motley crew more devoted to drink and gambling than to any pursuit of glory or treasure. By all appearances, they are a lazy, carefree band of sailors, content to doze beneath the noonday sun. But appearances can be deceiving. As their voyage unfolds, they cross paths with a fallen dynasty’s last surviving princess, a warrior whispered to be the deadliest swordsman alive, and a young emperor consumed by his zeal to fulfill a prophesied destiny. Yet none prove more mysterious or compelling than Pan Gamma Vizen himself, with his ever-present, inscrutable smirk. When an ancient power known as "science" begins to reshape the world, events accelerate toward a dark conspiracy that threatens to engulf all lands in the inferno of war. The lone figure who might stand against this coming tempest is the seemingly indifferent captain of a single black ship. This is the legend of the Sea King.
