Zero is far from a conventional scholar. An unparalleled authority on ancient artifacts, archaeological treasures, and masterworks of art, he possesses a singular talent that transcends academic appraisal. His true expertise lies not in dating objects or authenticating signatures, but in excavating the hidden chronicles they carry—the forgotten grievances, the latent supernatural afflictions, and the subtle curses that have weathered centuries. Where other experts see value or beauty, Zero perceives danger, and his life's work is to systematically unravel those malignant threads, neutralizing the peril they pose to the present. This vocation drives him across desolate ruins and into the private collections of the elite, chasing obscure fragments of information to satisfy the desperate requests of his clientele. He operates without a fixed tariff, however; his compensation is as mercurial as the artifacts he handles. A single job might command the equivalent of a small fortune, while the next may demand no more than a solitary coin—a disparity that reflects a deeply personal, inscrutable sense of worth rather than any market standard. Beneath this erratic pricing lies a relentless, almost solitary obsession: a compulsion to confront the truths that objects guard, regardless of the physical or spiritual toll such pursuits exact upon him. In every relic he purifies and every curse he banishes, Zero leaves a piece of himself behind, trading fragments of his own tranquility for the safety of those who unknowingly inherit the world's haunted past. His quest is not merely professional—it is a solitary war against the echoes of ancient malice, waged one artifact at a time.
