Hinamatsuri

As a rising star in the Ashikawa-gumi, Nitta has his sights set firmly on the treacherous ladder of the yakuza underworld. His days are consumed by the grift and grit of syndicate life, his modest apartment serving as a rare sanctuary from the constant pressure to prove his worth. That fragile peace is shattered in the most absurd way imaginable: a sleek, egg-shaped object materializes from thin air, crashing through his ceiling and landing squarely in the middle of his living room. When the dust settles, Nitta finds himself staring down at an impassive, deadpan girl named Hina, who emerges from the wreckage without a hint of surprise or apology. What initially seems like a bizarre nuisance quickly escalates into a hostage crisis when Hina casually demonstrates her terrifying psychic abilities—the power to move objects with a mere thought, and the unsettling inclination to use that power on Nitta himself. With his life hanging in the balance, the ambitious gangster has no choice but to acquiesce to her demands, begrudgingly agreeing to house and care for the mysterious child. Suddenly, his carefully curated world of back-alley deals and rigid hierarchy is invaded by school shopping trips, cooking duties, and the constant threat of being flattened by a telekinetic tantrum. Now, the seasoned yakuza enforcer finds his days dominated by a far more dangerous force than any rival thug: a stoic, bored girl with godlike powers and an utter lack of social graces. As Nitta struggles to maintain his fearsome reputation while navigating the absurdities of impromptu fatherhood, the chaotic collision of organized crime and otherworldly domesticity proves that in this new arrangement, he is decidedly not the one in charge.
