Hoshikiri no Kenshi

Julius is an unremarkable villager with no particular gifts to his name. Yet on the day of his eighth birthday, he is visited by a strange dream — one in which he lives the life of a swordsman whose existence could not be more different from his own. That swordsman devotes himself to a relentless daily discipline, swinging his blade over and over without rest, all in pursuit of a single, seemingly impossible ambition: to bring his sword down upon the stars glittering in the heavens. It is a dream that sets him apart from all others, and it has branded him with infamy. In his world, the man is known by no name other than the "Sword Demon." Now the memories of that infamous man have been inherited by an ordinary boy, and two vastly different lives begin to intertwine. This is the story of a swordsman who carries another's lifetime within him, and of the wish that refuses to fade: "I want to cut the stars."
